Did Barings Bank fall prey to "groupthink"?

Helga Drummond

Helga Drummond is Professor of Decision Sciences at the University of Liverpool. She has researched and published extensively on organizational and individual decision making.

Her most recent book, The Art of Decision Making: Mirrors of Imagination, Masks of Science, was published to critical acclaim by Wiley in 2001.

Here she will be examining the astonishing collapse of Barings Bank and asking how far it sprang from the effects of "groupthink" or from other factors.
