Driven by demons - personal exorcisms that changed the world
Speaker: Michael Anthony Jackson
27th September 2003
In addition to being the golden boy who conquered most of the known world while still in his twenties, Alexander the Great was an innovator and creator. He was responsible for the world's first single-currency trading empire, he founded over seventy cities and was the first leader ever to have a concept of 'one world'.
Drawing from his book, Life Lessons from History's Heroes, Michael Anthony Jackson explores the internal motivation strategies of Alexander the Great, and of another great: Genghis Khan. He tells the story of two men who conquered their worlds, but for exactly opposite reasons, and explains how this knowledge can help us to harness that same power to achieve our goals today.
Michael Anthony Jackson is a director and co-founder of WildDay.com, Europe's largest online retailer of outdoor sports and leisure products.
He is also an internationally published author. He is a keen skydiver, rescue diver and high altitude mountaineer.
In the summer of 2001 he made headline news when he turned back from his attempt on K2 to save the life of a dying sherpa, carrying him four days to safety.
The experience taught him the true nature of humanity and was the inspiration for his first book, Life Lessons From History's Heroes.
