All in the mind: Psychology and common sense
Speaker: Professor Adrian Furnham
25th November 2000
What is common sense? Is psychology a science? Why doesn't brain-storming work? Why do people remember little that they see on television? And why can't you teach creativity? Professor Furnham will consider these and other interesting and controversial questions in the ever-popular discipline of psychology.
Professor Adrian Furnham is Professor of Psychology at University College London where he has taught for twenty years. He holds doctorates from the universities of Oxford and London and is a Chartered Organisational Psychologist. He lives in Central London, goes to work on a bicycle and is a self-confessed workaholic.
