The social brain and emotion in others

Dr. Narender Ramnani

Dr. Narender Ramnani is currently a Reader in Cognitive Neuroscience in the Psychology Department at Royal Holloway, University of London. Work in his laboratory focuses on the use of advanced brain imaging methods to investigate issues in cognitive neuroscience.

The lecture will focus on a set of brain imaging experiments that have illuminated our understanding of how we process the emotion in the facial expressions of others, how our brains react when we observe others experiencing sensations such as pain, and how we are able to predict the actions of others.
